We exhibited at “COLORS, FUTURE! SUMMIT 2024,” a project commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Kawasaki City
From November 2nd (Sat) to 3rd (Sun), we exhibited at "COLORS, FUTURE! SUMMIT 2024," which was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki City's municipal incorporation, and explained examples of the use of microalgae, which is a potential protein source of the future, and our efforts to build an industry based on microalgae.
CHITOSE Group, which has its research base in Kawasaki City, also participated as part of the celebrations of the city's 100th anniversary, and shared our activities with visitors.
Approximately 23,000 people attended the event, which was a huge success.
At the CHITOSE booth, we exhibited the efforts of the "MATSURI" project to build an algae industry, and communicated our vision for realizing a sustainable society.
This time, in order to help people feel closer to algae, we collaborated with Len -Local Speciality Factory, a bakery based in Mizonokuchi, to produce and sell "Algae Ciabatta" and "Algae Country Bread", which incorporate raw spirulina into the dough.
The bread was well received, with people saying things like "it's chewy and delicious" (ciabatta) and "I like how it's filled with lots of dried fruit" (campagne).
We will continue to communicate the appeal and potential of algae to as many people as possible through various activities and exhibitions.
