On Thursday, November 7th, we held an online lecture titled "The Bioeconomy Growing into a 4500 Trillion Yen Market" by Mr. Fujita, Representative of CHITOSE Group and Expert on Bioeconomy Strategy at the Cabinet Secretariat.

This lecture, organized by the CHITOSE Group, was Fujita's first lecture in about three and a half years, and was attended by over 1,000 people.
This was the largest lecture event ever hosted by our company, and we were able to see the high level of interest and concern among the attendees in the bioeconomy.

In his lecture, Fujita explained what the essential initiatives and businesses are for solving social issues, and explained CHITOSE's "Two Major Photosynthesis Projects," which are centered on photosynthesis, which is important in building a circular society using biotechnology.
Furthermore, from the perspectives of business managers and experts, they spoke about the bioeconomy, an effort to turn all existing industries into bio-based industries, and how to realize a bio-based society while maintaining economic rationality.

I had never thought of existing industries being turned into bio-industries, rather than new ones being born, so I was really stimulated by the way you thought about it.
