CHITOSE Group has opened a special Expo website to commemorate its participation as technical supervisor and sponsor of the exhibit at the Japan Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo as a leading algae company.

The theme of the Japan Pavilion is "Between Life and Life," with "circulation," which connects life, being an important keyword.
The Japan Pavilion is made up of three areas: the Plant Area, the Farm Area, and the Factory Area. Of these, the CHITOSE Group is involved in two of them.
One is technical supervision in the farm area, where algae play a key role, and the other is a sponsored exhibit under the name "MATSURI" in the factory area, which has a theme of circular manufacturing.
Algae grow by absorbing CO2 using sunlight as their only energy source, and have great potential as a manufacturing material. In the farm area, we, as the leading experts on algae, will be in charge of technical supervision and will be exhibiting in an easy-to-understand manner how algae are produced in a photobioreactor and the characteristics of algae.

Additionally, the factory area will display a variety of products that use algae, the main focus of the farm area, as a material, such as cosmetics, clothing, and food, all of which have been created through recycling. These works are being produced by "MATSURI," a world-first CHITOSE-led project originating in Japan that is building an algae industry, and they evoke the image of algae products filling our lives in the future.
