On June 13th (Thurs), CHITOSE Group CEO Tomohiro Fujita gave a speech entitled "Trends of Bioeconomy and CHITOSE Group's Strategy" at Shinsho Corporation(hereinafter referred to as Shinsho Corporation).
Shinsho Corporation has long been involved in MATSURI, a project to build an algae-based industry to replace the oil industry, and in September of last year invested in the CHITOSE Group as a recipient of a third-party allotment of new shares.
This lecture was attended by a wide range of people, from CEO Morichi and other management to employees in related departments.

In his speech entitled "Trends in Bioeconomy CHITOSE Group's Strategy," Fujita spoke about the bioeconomy, which is expected to reach a market size of 4,000 trillion yen by 2030, and the perspectives that should be kept in mind when starting new businesses, using examples of business development in various fields.
In particular, when the content was themed around launching new businesses, topics such as "funding is raised for solutions to social issues" and "even in the same industry, the core of business is different" drew enthusiastic responses, with many attendees taking notes and nodding deeply.

In its medium-term management plan announced in May this year, Shinsho Corporation stated that as the core trading company of the KOBELCO Group, it will further expand and deepen its business, diversify its business model by building its own unique supply chain, and pursue the promotion of new businesses that will contribute to solving social issues and strengthening profitability.
President Morichi's speech on this day also emphasized the company's bold determination to take on new business ventures.
